Chris Lee makes a career-crippling move for The Oath
In the heart-stopping medical drama The Oath 行医，Chris Lee plays 吴国恩, an aspiring doctor-to-be with a big heart and a steadfast belief that a doctor’s duty is to save lives. However, just as he was about to cross the threshold into becoming a full-fledged doctor, his dedication resulted in a move that ruined his life-long dream…
Early on in the drama, 国恩 witnesses a fatal car accident and rushes forward to help.
He performs the highly controversial emergency procedure called Cricothyrotomy (read about it here on Wikipedia!) where he punctures the victim’s chest area with a ballpoint pen. (Correct us if we’re wrong, but his wifey Fann has also done this before in the drama 奇迹! 影迷温馨改正，是《无炎的爱》里的剧情！ )
Even under ideal, clinical conditions, a cricothyrotomy is difficult and requires specific tools, preparation and a practiced knowledge of anatomy. There are many major blood vessels and nerves in the neck and cutting there, even with the best of intentions carries a high risk of harming the patient.
Don’t worry! This is just make-up with the plastic tube stuck on, our extra’s skin is still good and intact!
Despite saving her life, 国恩 was still sent in front of a medical board for review because of the decision to carry out this risky procedure. He eventually leaves the Western medical profession, and instead becomes a traditional chinese medicine practitioner. This set the premise for his rivalry with 西医 doctor 关德维, played by Ix Shen! I couldn’t agree more! Chris Lee really suits those proffesional roles, such as the police, the doctor, the lawyer or the firemen etc. But rarely see, What a pity! “走宝” liao.
His acting is natural and skillful. Love his performances especially when the role “亦正亦邪”.
Looking forward to The Oath because of Chris and the chemistry among Chris Jesseca and Ann.

We hope MediaCorp can cast Fann Wong in a movie or drama with Tay Ping Hui. They have such great chemistry. We love to see them sizzle on screen. It’s a shame … “A song to remember” was not given to Fann Wong,
Any new movie or drama for Fann in 2012… besides the “spy role” in September 2011.
