‘小娘惹 The Little Nyonya’ is running for Asia’s Best Drama title and many of its stars now stand a chance to win the 14th Asian Television Awards. Amongst the many nominations, let me bring your attention to the Best Actor and Best Actress categories as they will be of high interest to you all…

Asia’s Best Actor Nominees:

戚玉武 Qi Yu Wu (小娘惹 The Little Nyonya)…likeable role but fellow contenders are just better…sorry…next…

方展发 Pierre Png (小娘惹 The Little Nyonya)…unlikely to win though you can’t deny that Pierre is filled with 明星魅力…

陈汉玮 Chen Han Wei (不凡的爱 By My Side)…step aside all other nominees, here comes the most deserving winner of all! His current breakthrough (like one after another lor) performance in ‘企鹅爸爸 Daddy At Home’ is attracting high viewership with scores of new viewers tuning in every night (current 9pm Channel 8 drama)! Heaven got no eyes if he doesn’t win…

Adrian Pang (Red Thread)…no doubt a very good actor and he is a dark horse in this category…

Other actors nominated are Lee Min Ho (Boys Over Flowers), Myung Min Kim (Beethoven Virus) and Patrick Teok (Red Thread)…

 Asia’s Best Actress:

郑惠玉 Zoe Tay (双子星 The Ultimatum)…you may not like the drama but too bad you are not in the Asia’s panel of judges…so Zoe may get her big break…

范文芳 Fann Wong (沸腾冰点 The Defining Moment)…one of Fann’s best performances and her time to score a big one may be now…

白薇秀 Joanne Peh (小娘惹 The Little Nyonya)…Joanne didn’t win Star Awards Best Actress by luck…she may just get a double whammy… Joanne is already playing two roles in our 7pm drama ‘想握你的手 Your Hand in Mine’ and you will get to see Joanne’s two roles in one ultimate showdown scene! You don’t get to play two roles if you are just ‘average’ you know…

林湘萍 Yvonne Lim (一切完美 Perfect Cut)…Yvonne’s entry with ‘Perfect Cut’ stand a good chance too as hers is a one hour stand alone movie-like performance which packed all elements of a potential win with the judges (you can feel it better than some other ‘rojak’ edit of different scenes from different episodes)…

Other Asian stars include: Michelle Yim (Moonlight Resonance), Gu Hye Seon (Boys Over Flowers) and Robyn Malcolm (Outrageous Fortune Series 4)

Alright, 米雪 Michelle Yim is very good in 家好月圆 Moonlight Resonance and she may win as well. Not sure about other nominees…maybe the New Zealander (Robyn Malcolm) is the ultimate killer?

Anyway, congrats to all our stars…
