   Hi Paul, I have a question. If, just supposing, Thomas Ong gets the most number of votes for Favourite Male Character, will he be eligible to receive the award? (Seeing as he’s not under MediaCorp contract and is ineligible for the acting awards?)

   (Paul: Yes, he will be eligible because it is an open award)

   Elvin Ng’s “Sato” being out may end up being a good thing. Then there’ll be no vote splitting amongst his fans and “Tarzan” would stand a better chance of winning.

   Hi Paul,

   Now that the 2nd show is at RWS and not mediacorp, how to bump into stars and take pictures with them? At mediacorp, at least radiogate.

   Check into
   Hard Rock Hotel (on top of convention center) or Festive Hotel (next to convention center) – how huh

   Any advice.

   (Paul: Some fans have already recce the plc and they know where. The foreign artistes are staying in the hotel – Hard Rock Hotel or Festive Hotel most probably…why don’t you chek into teh hotel and I am sure you will bump into some in the middle of the night…if there’s a 24 hour cafe or casino…haha)

   Agree with bigprisc, now every Felicia fans can vote for 3 roles for her 3 roles to get into Top 10. But on actual day, all Felicia fans remember to cast all the votes on Apple (Baby Bonus) only and forget the other 2 roles. Remember dont split the votes anymore on actual day cuz this will lower her chances of winning ~

   It is fine to have Felicia have 3 roles now in the top ten, cuz it is very 风光. But please, remember that one that day itself… everyone gotta consolidate their votes to one of her roles. Or else she will not have a chance at the top price!!!

   I suggest Baby Bonus. (Even though I think my fave is Tao Haitong)

   Aunty Lucy will never win lah please.. Aunty Lucy is such a stupid character which I don’t know why Singaporeans love so much.. Honestly, the swaying of the head repeatedly irritates me a lot. He may win on the male side but honestly, if you want him to win on the female side, let me tell you, it’s gonna’ be hard. Because we have our ah-jie Fann Wong.. We also have our princesses.. Very hot these days, Jeanette Aw and Rui En.. Don’t forget Felicia Chin too. She’s got 3 roles in the list. Mai siao siao.. Jesseca Liu also. Aunty Lucy beating them? Probably when pigs fly.. He just kicked Zoe Tay out of the list with pure luck. Hopefully Zoe Tay can earn back her position on the actual night..

    Paul can u ask them change Rui en chinese name from 芮恩 to 瑞恩。 very outdated leh. xinmsn.com got 書包太重 but nv put in under Rui En name while search via artistes. can only see happy family under her name only. Thanks you!

    I suggest those who suspect their nric # got stolen, maybe you should vote at 1 second past midnight, every day, so that you can ”choped” your nric # before other people can ‘steal’ your # lor. If you vote later in the day, then your nric# may already be used by the ‘thief’, hehe. So try to vote the earliest of the day.

    sorry. but you really did sound like a sour grape now. how can you determine how many fans does each idol have. they could have a very strong fanbase. Just because the fans never comment here, doesnt mean that he/she is not popular.

    And since this is a voting process using ICs, as long as you got the permission then its fine. for example, people can actually ask their parents whether they can use their ICs to vote for a particular idol. then if they approved, then its alright what.

    regarding the IC stealers, if yours got stolen then it could be your friends/family members who use them. I seriously dont think working people like the HR department got so much time to go and vote or something. if it is really stolen by the HR department or whatsoever, then pls kindly go and make a police report.

    and you mentioned about credibility. There’s never a poll that can be 100% credible. For example, the top 10 awards. If one particular idol has a support of a super rich person, then that person can call his/her no. for like 10000000000000 times? and the idol could actually get into the top 10 even with just one person support you know. so it doesnt actually reflects how popular you are. its how rich your fans are in this case. so stop whinning here. go and make a trip down to the police station. thanks.

    dont really think this is reflective – what if someone has access to long list of ICs? the ah gongs, ah mahs, aunty, ah soh, ah pek – i dont think they even bother about such voting..the viewership ratings is by far the most accurate measure..so, be it elvin or chen hanwei…they should keep their heads held high…even hong hui fang, ann and xiang yun whose Housewives Holidays did well are the probably the most popular…

    whatever the voting results, i hope to see in the upcoming dramas:

    legal drama – jeannette and eelyn; darren lim and elvin

    housewives drama – hong hui fang, aileen tan and constance song, li
    nanxing, christopher lee and tay ping hui

    love drama – jeannette, tiffany, joshua ang, dyt

    year end blockbuster – eelyn kok and rebecca lim, 715, zhang zhen huan

    The best way to show your support is to vote for your favorite character..

    Btw, please do not say that AK is aggresive, just because she has more productions last year does not equate that she is aggresive..

    If you were to look back at Quan Yi Feng and Guo Liang’s interview of Ann Kok on Yi Dian Xin Si and you will know that both Ann Kok and Ivy Lee were the least aggresive among the female contestants during the Star Search 1993. Quan Yi Feng was there to witness who the aggresive ones were and Quan Yi Feng herself also mention.

    True that Ann is older but that does not mean she will just get married for the sake of doing so.

    No matter what our idols or stars do, let us give them our best wishes and show support by voting for them and supporting their productions.

    so as long as there are ppl who are willing to let others have IC to help vote, then there is seriously nothing wrong with it.

    no voting competition is 100% fair..even SA telepoll..so long as there is 1 crazy fan who willing to spam maybe 10000 calls, that artiste sure in.

    I think there should be more publicity for the voting for fav character. Now those winning are those whose fans/friends/relatives who are aware of the voting on the internet only. In last nite’s Star Awards Special, majority of audience interviewed on the streets voted for Hanwei in Daddy at Home as their fav male character. Why is he not even in the top 10? It is a mockery if the voting is truly reflective of general audience’s sentiments.

    It makes sense that all votes for Elvin to be concentrated on Tazan. Even if the first placing eluded him, Elvin’s Tazan will still remain in the Top 10 Most Favourite Characters. Thanks and no thanks for the shock, Paul. Happy Easter!
