Episode 4!

27 08 2009

There you go! Episode Four fresh and uploaded not a moment any longer!

Episode Four one of the most worthy episodes and nonetheless a good watch on television. It was a pretty good share of suspense, emotions and drama.

The EMOTIONAL (the show is full of it this time!)
-Cheryl and Gabriel
Easily, they both screwed each other up and that sucks. Their tears were real. Even though a second chance was given; it failed to prove them right, in a way. Could it be the song’s fault? I don’t know but it sucks when you screw up and there’s no turning back. Unfortunately, the journey ended for them both. What a pity. I really thought Cheryl had a great voice. Sigh.

-Jonathan and Gabriel

Oh my god, brothers for life! When Gabriel didn’t manage to get into the next round; the first person he seeked was Jonathan, his big old brother. With sobbing tears and a broken heart, Jonathan was greeted with an agonising torture of a sibling. Well, i couldn’t hear what Gabriel mentioned to him with all the sobbing and hugging but it was really sad to see the brothers as though a bond was broken, but hey! not to fret i believe they still have each other’s support yeah!

-Kimberly

I felt Flo’s tears or quiver when she announced the results to Kimberly. Unfortunately the results were negative. I guess, the pain was unbearable, and *sobs* she couldn’t continue her dreams as well as her grandmother’s.

-Maressa and Jannah

They have to save such drama for the last aye! I mean, you put two close friends together and only 1 can fill the spot. It’s relatively cliche but hey we’re hoping maybe the judges decided to put both through but no, they’ve decided to stick to the norm (which is a good thing, because people anticipate another) and release only 1 spot to another. Unfortunately for Maressa, the journey ended there. I could tell she wanted it bad, real bad and also i could tell that Jannah wanted it as well and without a doubt they both wanted it for each other. Argh, it sucks to put such situation but kudos to the producers to create the drama. Maressa don’t worry we all love you and Jannah way to go girl! :]
P.S. Maressa will support her homie, Jannah all the way that’s for sure!

-The Duet

It’s a first in Idol history and i honestly thought, the songs they wrote and sang were pretty good! Nonetheless maybe some of the butchered it but hey in all, the songs that for example Tabitha and MJ, Charlene and Eddy, Mae and Sezairi, Malaque and Kyle, Frances and Duane were pretty good!! Com’on record companies, sign them on! :]

Ah i made it look as though the episode is full of tears, well not entirely! Go watch it above and find out. In the meantime, i still got loads to unveil and i’ve a press briefing to attend in a few hours! Also, you guys can check out some of the finalists detailed profile at The Unofficial Singapore Idol Blog before i do some crazy whack graphics for this blog! Bye bye :]

Once Upon a Guitar.

26 08 2009

I do not know much about guitars, but i do know some of the brands like Epiphone, Fender and Gibson (how about Yamaha? lolol). Well, the kind people of Gibson Guitars decided to sponsor us some of their finest guitars for the show. Oh boy!, the contestants (well the guitar playing ones that is) were reeking of joy and happiness that wetting their pants wasn’t an option at all. I know Mr Red Head Lawyer had wet his pants with joy, twice. Gibson Guitars, if i am not wrong, American Idol winners David Cook and Kris Allen strummed their magical fingers on them during the show. Just like many other idol hopefuls, our very contestants (you never know, one of them could be our Idol!) are now given this opportunity to strum their fingers on this god gifted instruments.

Some of us went down to the ulu-industrial area of Kallang yesterday to go for a guitar buffet. Located in a freaky storage building with rows and rows of creepy looking yellow shutters. After a couple of twists and turn through the alley or shall i say maze, we managed to land ourselves at the freaking pot of gold that these contestants yearn for. Mr Johnson and friend (oh no i forgot his name!) from Gibson Guitars were waiting for us anxiously just like any other guitar enthusiasts. The contestants that came down earlier were Mr Red Head Lawyer, Mr I’m Better Than a Turn Table, Miss Singer of a Band and Miss I Know How to Sing Nobody in Korean. The moment shutters were open, the store twinkled with all the good things in the world, well for these contestants that is. Enough said! Photos shown below :]

Oh yeah, if you had bought 8Days magazine yesterday, they featured stories on two idol hopefuls; Benjamin Chow (again) and Gabrielle Ferdinands about their famous fathers that had actually contributed to the local music scene way back then!! Grab 8Days and read more about it! :]

Finally tonight! The big reveal! Who are the TOP 24!? Finally, no more blurring of faces, no more nicknames! Do not forget to the catch the big reveal on TV, tonight at 8pm sharp and get more interesting info about the Top 24 here on the Official Idol Blog and as well at the Unofficial Idol Blog. We both provide you inside info and FINALLY OUR TREACHEROUS WAIT WILL BE OVER! THE BIG REVEAL WOOOHOO! Stay tuned! :]]]]]

Ruben Raj, Good or Bad?

21 08 2009

Ruben Raj, if you have watched episode 3 earlier on (you can watch it below!) you’d remember him. Rightfully, we all remembered him as the guy that wasn’t given the chance to perform due to his “punctuality”. WHY? Wasn’t he allowed and why did they allow another fellow contestant, Samantha, to perform even so she was late. Well, the video above is what most of us missed, his vocals. Good or bad, it’s truly up to you to judge but hey, i’m just sharing this video because maybe, you really wonder did the judges threw out, “The Next Singapore Idol”? Thanks to Pasonia for sharing the video.

In regards with Benjamin Chow’s case, stories seemed to slowly unfold. Log on to the idol website, Singapore Idol Website to view TWO articles regarding the Ben’s case. I was sharing opinions with The Unofficial Singapore Idol Blogger on how we view this case! haha. Interesting enough we could come up with a million and oneconclusions, but the truth lies in the hands of the one up there. Check out The Unofficial Singapore Idol Blogs for updates as well about Idol and others :]

Easily said, were all these a massive publicity stint? God knows.

Enough said about Benjamin Chow.

I’ll blog over the weekends about the two vocal trainings i’ve already and about to attend tomorrow :] By the way, below are the trailers for episode 4 of Idol!

Keep on coming you readers :] Can’t wait for next week’s show!
